Wolfeboro, N.H.; August 2022 — PLACE, the industry’s only all-inclusive platform delivering intuitive technology and business services to top real estate professionals, announced today that Adam and Becky Dow and Dow Realty Group are now powered by PLACE. PLACE partners with leading real estate teams, regardless of brokerage, in more than 100 locations across the United States and Canada.

Adam and Becky Dow, Owners of Dow Realty Group, are elite and top performing real estate professionals in New Hampshire, serving the Seacoast, Mountains, and Lakes Region. Dow Realty Group leverages their established Luxury Program to attract out of state second home buyers and to level up their residential sales. During 2021, Dow Realty Group closed $199 million in sales volume, helping a staggering 333 families buy and sell homes. This year, Dow Realty Group brought the buyer for the highest priced home in New Hampshire at $8.1 million. Over the course of his career, Dow has facilitated 1,633 transactions for a combined sales volume of $972,054,989.

“I believe that bringing PLACE in at this point in our company’s history will allow more room for our existing agents to grow their businesses while attracting new agents throughout New England who fit our culture.”

A native of Wolfeboro, Adam Dow grew up in the area enjoying the lake in the summer and skiing in the winter. After graduating from college, he worked his way up in a tech company and got married. All was well until the company he worked for went under and he needed to find a new position. He found an opportunity on monster.com for a real estate sales job at a local company, interviewed the same day, and was told they would save him a desk once he earned his license. “I took a sales personality test as part of the new agent training and scored the worst of anybody ever over the 14 years that the office manager had been administering it,” he remembered. “Here I am, almost 20 years later, as the number one real estate agent in the state. I guess this proves that real estate can be a relationship business, not a sales business.”

Dow worked hard, built relationships through several spheres, and quickly built a business. “At the dot com, I got a really good taste of negotiation, I learned PowerPoint, and I knew cost per click,” he said. “I learned a lot of things that translated immediately to real estate.”

“PLACE is the next thing for me – it’s that next relationship I want to be in and the next piece of technology I want to be part of building.” – Adam Dow

In an area where there were approximately ‘150 realtors and about 150 sales’ per year, Dow had to quickly find a way to differentiate himself. He entered into an agreement with a website company to build five websites for a 25 percent reinvestment plan. In his third year of business, the contract amounted to $77,000. “Some people would say that I overpaid,” he said. “But, I was happy with the deal. I always want to have success through others in true partnership, win-win relationships. I would not have had the business otherwise.”

Capitalizing on his familiarity of the area, Dow quickly built a luxury business selling lake and vacation homes. “I have first-hand knowledge of the area – where the rafters congregate, where the best restaurants are on the lake, where to fish for the largest bass, who are the specialists in their field, and where to watch the best sunset,” he explained. “I didn’t set out to have a luxury business, but because of the relationships I had and being from the area, that is the expertise I developed.”

After a few years, the referral model he set up with the website business wound up scaling into something new. “I sent leads to other agents so I wouldn’t overload myself and be spread too thin,” he explained. “They would send me checks when the deals closed, but I didn’t have the benefit of that future transaction with the clients I had referred out.”

By 2012, Dow had worked his way up to being number nine in sales in the state. He sold at that level for a couple of years, and in 2016, he created a team and accelerated to the number one sales agent in the state. “We were still focused on the website, but instead of strategic referral partners, the agents became mini expansion areas,” he explained. “Now, as a team, we keep our database together but I have my part and my team members have theirs.”

Dow’s goal is to always stay on the cutting edge of real estate trends and he believes partnering with PLACE gives him that leverage. “I’m energized by helping others succeed. PLACE upgrades our operational capacity and tech strategies,” Dow explained. “I’m looking forward to incorporating the additional support PLACE brings to our agents and our clients. Our agents are now truly our best assets and they deserve the best tools.”

As a forward thinker, Dow was the first in his area to have an agent website and a team, which eventually led him to partner with PLACE. “PLACE is the next thing for me – it’s that next relationship I want to be in and the next piece of technology I want to be part of building,” he said. “PLACE is about people and online marketing innovation. Even though our team is pretty big, it is hard to have the horsepower anymore to continuously work on an online strategy.”

Dow is excited to be part of a team that is bigger than he could build on his own. “I believe that PLACE is going to help the agents on my team now, and future agents even more so, because of the thoughtful training and quality of the systems,” said Dow. “I am very proud of the team we have built and the success we have achieved from our commitment to the client, and I believe that bringing PLACE in at this point in our company’s history will allow more room for our existing agents to grow their businesses while attracting new agents throughout New England who fit our culture.”

“I love to talk to Adam about technology and marketing,” said Ben Kinney, co-founder of PLACE. “I am glad he and Becky are partnered with PLACE and look forward to the collaboration and expansion that he strives to achieve for himself, his team, and his clients.”

“I welcome Adam, Becky, and their team to PLACE,” said Chris Suarez, co-founder of PLACE. “I love that their decisions for the business are based on what is best for their family and his team. That perspective is in perfect alignment with PLACE and I know they are going to make great partners.”
