In 2021, their team closed 106 transactions.

During her tenure, Heather hired Steve to the team after his persistence, charisma, and skills impressed her. Steve’s resume included several Fortune 500 companies, law enforcement, and, most recently, a 16-year tenure at FedEx. During that time, he felt he was ready for a change and was “tired of looking at boxes,” so he took a friend’s advice and earned his real estate license. “I had owned rental properties for 25 years and managed them myself,” said Steve. “I had been around real estate for years but always had another full-time job.” A natural at sales, Steve was one of the top new agents in production in his market in his first year on Heather’s team.

Even with no advertising and no lead purchasing, the couple soon found themselves with a burgeoning business and the need to build a team to maintain the level of client care they were known for. The two built their new business on authenticity and preserving and protecting the relational experience. “The word “verity” is Latin for truth,” explained Heather. “We want to be known as people who always deliver the truth and genuinely care about what is best for each and every client. We want to preserve and protect the relational element in the real estate industry.”
Trust is imbued not only in their name and brand, but in the way they treat each and every client. “We have built our business being trustworthy and reliable and our clients know we are going to be honest with them every step of the way,” explained Steve. “We have worked hard to be a one-stop shop. People call not only for real estate needs but with questions about painters, electricians, and even who might be able to get a snake off their patio.”
The couple are also deeply invested in bringing this same authenticity to their team members, helping them grow and achieve their dreams. “Helping people grow gives me life, gives me energy, and makes very difficult things worth it,” explained Heather. “That is what I love about growing new agents. I see the potential, see the dedication, and I know that it is a hard job so I am excited when they get their business growing and off the ground.”
