Dauby Real Estate expedites expansion plans by partnering with PLACE

Trae Dauby is the owner and operator of Dauby Real Estate, serving Southwest Indiana. Over the past eight years, Dauby has helped more than 2,000 clients with their real estate needs. During 2022, they closed $75 million in sales volume through 360 transactions.
Having dedicated nearly a decade to construction management, Dauby took a pivotal step in 2014 by earning his real estate license to gain more control over his future. “Real estate kept coming up as an opportunity, so my wife and I both got our licenses to see if it could work for us,” he explained. “For most of the first year, I kept my full-time job, my wife helped during the day, and I sold 30 houses.” By year-end, Dauby transitioned from construction management to full-time real estate sales. In 2016, he expanded by bringing on his first team member, and together they served 90 clients.
Dauby began working with a coach in 2020 and realized his drive for productivity, like the bottom line, didn’t resonate with every agent. He recognized the necessity of understanding each agent’s motivations to inspire them effectively. “I was pushing people to sell more than they wanted and ultimately pushing them out the door,” he remembered. “I learned to focus more on personal goals, and now we have built a team with shared values, focusing on treating clients like family and working as a team to achieve our goals.”
