Tom Taranto first entered real estate in 2004 after arriving home from Sweden to work on a big project. His initial intention was to keep real estate as a side business while launching his other venture. However, as Florida’s market took off, so did his passion for real estate. “Real estate was supposed to be a side gig while I focused on another project, but the market was so hot that it quickly became the main thing, and I haven’t looked back,” Tom shared.
After years of independent success, Tom launched his own brokerage in 2012 and later transitioned to Keller Williams, where he grew until he decided to build a team in 2017. “Building a team has been a process of expansion, contraction, and constant learning,” he said. “I’ve learned that just having people isn’t enough—it’s about having the right people and providing them with the right tools and support.” At its peak, Team Taranto reached 10 agents, operated out of its own office, and closed 140 transactions in a single year.
