Tom Atwood is the owner and operator of The Atwood Team based in Baltimore. The Atwood Team recently ranked in RealTrends’ America’s Best Teams list with 217 units and $66 million sold over the past two years.
For 15 years, Atwood traveled the country working in automotive sales and retail. When Atwood burned out in the automotive industry in 2006, he became a Realtor® and joined a friend’s established team. “When the time was right, the opportunity was there,” Atwood said.
Atwood sold 40 houses in his first year alone and worked through the Great Recession before joining a new brokerage in 2012. For the next decade, Atwood focused on learning and expansion. New, bigger challenges arose, and Atwood needed more support, so he paused his growth goals in 2022. Atwood and his team felt whiplashed by the new market and worked tirelessly to adapt.
