Business owner, agent, and team leader Sarah Chatel is an elite luxury real estate professional in the Atlanta metro area. She consistently ranks in the top 5% of agents from the Atlanta Board of Realtors®, was honored by the Atlanta Realtor® Association with the Good Neighbor Award for her philanthropic work with Habitat for Humanity and the Alzheimer’s Association, and is a graduate of the Atlanta Board’s Emerging Leaders Class of 2021. Chatel Group closed $23 million in sales volume with just 2 agents in 2021.

Sarah has lived and worked in Atlanta for more than 40 years. She sold technology to C-level executives before beginning her real estate career in 2011.Although the country was emerging from a recession at that time, Sarah had a very successful first year because she called on her former peers in the technology world.

In addition to her real estate career, Sarah is also a local on-camera actress and voice over talent in Atlanta through radio, TV, film and print advertising. She’s been featured on national commercials as well as an episode of “Property Virgins.” Sarah also co-authored a chapter in “The Success Chronicles: Real Estate Edition” – a best-selling book in which she advises agents on how they can distinguish themselves in their local market by knowing their unique value proposition when forming a team.

Sarah devotes her time and resources to serving others as is promised by their team’s mission statement to, “positively impact the lives of others through real estate.” With a clientele that is 85 to 90% referral-based, Chatel Group fosters long-term relationships with their former clients and with real estate agents across the country. Their team hosts community service events, such as participating in 14 build days with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, community paper shredding events, and food and clothing drives for Salvation Army, one of Sarah’s clients.

Chatel Group donates a portion of every transaction to Atlanta Habitat for Humanity. “To be a healthy Atlanta community we need more affordable housing. Our commitment to and participation with Atlanta Habitat is our small way of investing in Atlanta’s stability and future,” she explained. “Giving back isn’t just something we do,” explained Sarah. “It is a large part of who we are, it’s our team culture.”

Sarah’s interest in her charity of choice, Habitat for Humanity, originates from her small town childhood where her father was the Town Banker, President of Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce. Her mother was on the Historic Homes Board, Scenic Improvement Board, and participated in the Garden Club. Both of her parents sparked and shaped Sarah’s interest in real estate as they restored their own historic properties creating beauty in otherwise blighted areas of her small town. Her mother’s motto was, “Leave people, places and things better than the way you found them.” Sarah learned from her parents how to leverage real estate as a path to wealth while following in their footsteps and contributing to the community’s improvement along the way.
