Waldner Winters Team to leverage PLACE models and innovative resources to inspire growth and team development.

Columbia, MD, February 2024— PLACE, the real estate industry’s only all-in-one business services and technology platform for top teams at any brokerage, announced today that Nick Waldner and the Waldner Winters Team are now powered by PLACE. PLACE improves profitability and production to make running a real estate business easier.

Top producer Nick Waldner is the owner and operator of the Waldner Winters Team, servicing the entire state of Maryland. Nick is the former television host of Waterfront House Hunting, an industry thought leader, and a sought after speaker, in addition to hosting the massively popular Wisdom Wednesday’s which highlights training from some of the top teams across the country.

In the competitive landscape of real estate, Nick Waldner’s narrative stands as a remarkable blend of integrity, vision, and a steadfast commitment to nurturing the next generation of industry leaders. His transition from franchise sales to a top real estate producer, culminating in a strategic partnership with PLACE, is a testament to his dedication to ethical practices, team empowerment, and leadership development.

During his college years, Waldner and his photography team impressively sold over $1 million worth of $5 keychains in a single summer, an early indicator of his knack for sales and sales leadership. This set the stage for his later success with Cold Stone Creamery, where his role in franchise sales and commercial real estate further honed his understanding of business operations. “We were the fastest growing area developer in the country,” Waldner recounts, emphasizing the rapid expansion he oversaw. This experience would later become pivotal in his real estate career, shaping his approach to growth and business systems.

When Waldner entered real estate, he quickly embraced a systematic approach to his business. Waldner gleaned initial systems and basic practices, like writing contracts, from his mother who had a long tenure in the business. He then built his own book of business through hard work with long hours. His commitment to his career was unwavering, yet it came at the cost of personal balance. “I realized that to be successful doesn’t mean I have to do everything all the time and be the only one doing it all,” he said.

Waldner hired his first admin in 2012 and began recruiting agents to his team in 2013. He went from selling 40 homes on his own to regularly selling upwards of 400 per year with a team. This team now consists of 21 agents covering the entire state of Maryland.

Waldner now leads with a vision for his life first, making decisions that will create an environment where he can be home for dinner with his wife and three children, and where he can be around to coach their sports teams. Central to Waldner’s success is his philosophy on personal development and its impact on professional excellence. “If I can help you be a better spouse or a better parent or a better son or a better anything, you’re going to also be a better Realtor,” Waldner said. “My focus with my team is to make them better all around, and not to fall into the 24 hour work trap that can be real estate. I want them to have balance.”

Waldner’s alliance with PLACE is a strategic move that aligns with his vision for the future of real estate – a vision deeply rooted in collaboration, mentorship, and empowering the next generation of real estate leaders. “I love the opportunity to partner with people and help them get on a journey to improve their life,” Waldner said. PLACE’s model offers a platform where seasoned professionals and new agents alike can benefit, fostering a breeding ground for future industry leaders.

Waldner loves having a front-row seat as his agents transform their lives, including one who left their $40,000 salaried “safe” job to go on to generate over $650,000 in income as an agent- truly life changing! With the PLACE Opportunity Model, he can cultivate agents like this to have a limitless runway and path for growth. He shares, “I get excited thinking about what PLACE can do for the next generation of real estate agents, teams, and businesses.”

“We are excited to welcome Nick. Nick’s dedication to building relationships and growth will become a huge asset to the PLACE community,” said Ben Kinney, co-founder of PLACE. “I’m excited to see how his business grows by allowing us to take on the excess balls he’s juggling so he can stay focused on the parts of the business that drive his passion.”

“Nick’s journey, characterized by a steadfast dedication to personal and professional growth, resonates deeply with PLACE’s mission,” said Chris Suarez, co-founder of PLACE. “I can’t wait to see how far Nick goes given his ambitious nature, collaborative spirit, and industry expertise.”
