Drew Hopley and Cory Wilson own and operate the Live Frederick Group, serving Frederick, Maryland, and surrounding areas in Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia. In 2022, they closed $52.5 million in sales volume through 107 transactions.
Hopley previously worked at the National Center for Children and Families. He enjoyed leading a transitional school for at-risk youth. When Hopley met an achievement ceiling, he resigned to travel and consider his next goal. The freedom of his father’s career as a commercial real estate architect inspired Hopley to become a Realtor®.
Wilson has a formal education in art and design and was a senior systems analyst. While at a retirement ceremony, he found himself weighing the impact of his corporate career. “I thought to myself, ‘There has to be more to life,’” said Wilson. “I figured real estate was my avenue because it’s the kind of incredible career that can lead to a more purposeful life.”
After reaching an achievement ceiling in their region, the duo desired more. While Hopley was out of town, he texted Wilson, “Move the business forward.” Wilson felt an unspoken understanding that this meant it was time to expand the team immediately. In the past, Hopley noticed a lack of well-working models and foundational training in real estate businesses, so he’s eager to implement PLACE’s New Agent Launch.
