Announcing a new partnership: Kimberlee Meserve and The Street Property Team are powered by PLACE.

“Once I realized the gaps that PLACE was going to help fill in for the team it felt like PLACE was a gift from heaven.”

New PLACE Partner Laurie Satushek has built a thriving real estate business through her drive to help others, and is now partnering with PLACE to empower her team to grow.

BELLINGHAM, Wash., December 2022 — PLACE, the industry’s only all-in-one business services and technology platform for top teams at any brokerage, announced today that Laurie Satushek and The Satushek Team are now powered by PLACE. PLACE improves profitability and production to make running a real estate business easier.

From the moment she became intrigued with real estate, Laurie committed to learning as much as possible and then sharing and teaching that knowledge. Today, she sees real estate as one of the many ways she helps others. Over the course of her 14 -year career, Laurie has sold more than 900 homes, doubling her business nearly every year. Despite recent market fluctuations, Laurie’s sales have increased nearly 50% year-over-year thanks to her commitment to being what she calls a “goal setter and go-getter.”

Laurie initially became captivated by real estate when she embarked on a three-year long voyage to find her own home, which she now refers to as her “sanctuary.” At the time, she was working with the gifted and talented program at three local schools helping students learn to research, among other topics. Laurie used that research skillset to guide her home purchase process by learning how to evaluate the properties she was considering, attending open houses, and absorbing as much information as possible along the way.

After finding her sanctuary, Laurie continued to monitor the real estate market and attend open houses solely out of passion. Laurie thought, “If I’m still doing all these things and I already own my home with no plans to buy a new one, it’s probably time to start considering a career in real estate.” So, she earned her real estate license and began selling real estate part-time to start. “It never was about money to me. I want others to benefit from what I have learned,” she said.

After 22 years of teaching and working in education, Laurie decided to put her real estate knowledge into overdrive. She doubled down on real estate and joined PLACE co-founder Ben Kinney’s team, and was consistently one of the top sales people on the team. As time went on, she felt increasing satisfaction from working with her sphere and the network she grew through her involvement in nonprofits and decided to venture out on her own.

Laurie began hosting a number of fundraising and business events at her 8-acre sanctuary. Her business blossomed thanks to her focus on generosity and expertise. As her business grew, so did her team. In 2015, Jen Glyzinski, currently director of sales for the team, partnered with Laurie and both of their lives transformed. They grew the team and almost doubled their business again.

Laurie has a deep connection with and concern for her team. As she looks to the future, she sees herself rebalancing and getting to enjoy other aspects of life, like traveling with her loved ones. For Laurie, one of her priorities is knowing her team is taken care of even when she’s not around to monitor the business every day, which is where PLACE comes in. “Once I realized the gaps that PLACE was going to help fill in for the team it felt like PLACE was a gift from heaven,” said Laurie.

“Real estate is not about the money to me, and PLACE provides opportunities to my team that I couldn’t do on my own.”

Laurie says PLACE provides a playbook to save time and a network of other top-tier business people that they can learn from. She looks forward to watching her team members grow thanks to the PLACE platform without needing to recreate the wheel alone. “Real estate is not about the money to me, and PLACE provides opportunities to my team that I couldn’t do on my own,” said Laurie.

“I am excited to be back in business with Laurie,” said Ben Kinney, co-founder of PLACE. “Her commitment to community, passion, and drive to help others sets her apart. I am excited to see how PLACE will enable her team to thrive.”

“I welcome Laurie to PLACE,” said Chris Suarez, co-founder of PLACE. “Her values and drive for excellence are fitting for PLACE. I look forward to seeing her team continue to grow.”
