Seasoned agent Kim Wennerberg prepares to expand her brand’s impact with PLACE

Top producer Kim Wennerberg is the broker, owner, and operator of Kim & Company, serving the Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida. With 25 years of experience, Wennerberg has helped thousands of people buy and sell real estate. Last year, she closed 98 transactions. “The Lord has blessed me and my business in ways I could have never dreamed of or accomplished on my own,” says Wennerberg.
A DeFuniak Springs native, Wennerberg began her real estate career in 1998, eventually transitioning into new home sales in 2003. In 2009, shortly after the Great Recession hit, she earned her broker’s license and began working independently. “I just dug in and kept working,” says Wennerberg. “I doubled down on my work in 2012 and a couple of years later, I hired a real estate coach.”
Wennerberg built her business through personal connections and social media. “I value the client over the transaction, and my life and business are built on relationships,” she explains. “I realized that to be satisfied in my work, it has to be relationship-based, and real estate is the perfect space for fulfilling that need as I help clients achieve their real estate goals.” In addition to helping her clients achieve their real estate goals, Wennerberg has a broader vision to help her community and donates a portion of the proceeds from each sale to one of six local nonprofits through her company’s KCO Cares initiative.
“I worked with a life coach who helped me grow personally and spiritually,” she explains. “Six years ago, she helped me birth Kim & Company, and maintaining that brand and aesthetic is important to me.” After Wennerberg created her own unique brand, she purchased and renovated historic downtown office space.
While at a conference, Wennerberg met and had conversations with several PLACE Partners about her growth goals. She concluded that a PLACE partnership could help alleviate bandwidth so she could focus on scaling the business. “The backend systems will provide the tools I need to bring on multiple agents and train them simultaneously while I stay in production,” says Wennerberg. “The real value of PLACE is the people. With PLACE, Wennerberg also plans to expand into nearby markets. “I want to nurture new buyers and sellers, and recreate the same brand recognition I have in Walton County.”
