“We knew we could do more, faster as a team than we could individually, so it started there.”
WILMINGTON, N.C., February 2023 — PLACE, the industry’s only all-in-one business services and technology platform for top teams at any brokerage, announced today that Becky Holt Brown, Kirk Pugh, and KBT Realty Group are now powered by PLACE. PLACE improves profitability and production to make running a real estate business easier.
Brown and Pugh serve Southeastern North Carolina and first went into business together in 2015. Today, they lead a high-performing team with over 100 years of collective experience in the Wilmington area. In 2022, they closed $82 million in sales volume, helping 240 families buy and sell real estate.
Brown is a Wilmington native who entered the real estate industry in 1995 after working in insurance and banking, which provided a foundation of financial expertise. A Kentucky native, Pugh earned his real estate license in 2009 after 25 years in the hospitality industry. The two worked in the same office and came to a point where they decided to build a team together. “We knew we could do more, faster as a team than we could individually, so it started there,” explained Brown.
“We’ve been successful but haven’t achieved our full potential,” explained Pugh. “Even with different tools and the latest technologies we weren’t satisfied with our progress. Ultimately, we partnered with PLACE because we have confidence in learning from and surrounding ourselves with more successful people.”
Brown and Pugh share a mission of supporting others to build lives of abundance for themselves; through their work, they aim to positively impact agents, vendors, and clients alike.
“We’re implementing PLACE to bring our agents to a higher level of success through training and accountability,” said Brown. “Our team will get back in the groove of treating their business like a career, especially in this market.” As the team elevates its skills and gains production independence, Brown and Pugh want to focus on coaching and mentoring in the future.
“We have done our homework and talked to enough people around the country that have success and good trajectory after becoming PLACE Partners,” said Pugh. “We are happy to be PLACE Partners.”
“Ultimately, we partnered with PLACE because we have confidence in learning from and surrounding ourselves with more successful people.”
“It is heartening to see new PLACE partners so invested in serving their team members’ goals and success,” said Chris Suarez, co-founder of PLACE. “Becky and Kirk have had a powerful vision and mindset centered on helping others grow their lives in wealth building and success.”
