Jeff Yarbrough and the Jeff Yarbrough Group partner with PLACE to scale their luxury real estate business

Announcing a new partnership: Kimberlee Meserve and The Street Property Team are powered by PLACE.

“I had to suppress that fear that others were better or that everybody knew more than me. That is what separates the successful from the unsuccessful.”

Jeff Yarbrough has built an elite real estate business focused on client engagement. He believes PLACE offers the best value proposition for his team to expand, better serve clients, and create a legacy that exists well into the future.

Beverly Hills, Calif., August 2022 — PLACE, the industry’s only all-inclusive platform delivering intuitive technology and business services to top real estate professionals, announced today that Jeff Yarbrough and the Jeff Yarbrough Group are now powered by PLACE. PLACE improves profitability and production for the top 20% of real estate teams, and currently supports over 130 real estate businesses across the United States and Canada.

Yarbrough is among the top one percent of Los Angeles Realtors® and his team are top producers in the Beverly Hills market. The Jeff Yarbrough Group closed over $75 million in sales volume in 2021, and over $60 million so far in 2022. Over the course of his career, Yarbrough has helped 721 clients achieve the dream of homeownership.

Jeff Yarbrough began his career as a writer for Andy Warhol’s magazine, Interview. He grew to be a celebrity writer who worked for the likes of People Magazine, Vogue, and Vanity Fair. During the 1990s, as print media began to dry up and the Internet was taking away the exclusivity of publications, Yarbrough started looking around for his next move. “I had friends who were interior designers, builders, and architects,” he said. “One of my friends suggested I could be an agent since I already knew a lot of people and spent a lot of time talking about properties.”

Yarbrough got his real estate license 20 years ago. Since then, he has built a luxury real estate group that represents, markets, and develops properties in the Beverly Hills and Greater Los Angeles Area. Yarbrough loves to help people find homes but he is also passionate about finding homes for dogs. He makes a donation from every sale to various Los Angeles animal welfare organizations – this year, the contributions are going to Pug Nation L.A.

“Clients are the most important part of my real estate world,” said Yarbrough. “In our marketplace, you have to be more than just your client’s Realtor®. You have to give yourself over to truly becoming a member of their sphere, which at any given time can mean being their personal assistant, lunch companion, cleaning crew consultant, or even dog walker. But, once you get into that sphere, that is where the magic happens.”

Of course, large luxury properties did not immediately fall into Yarbrough’s lap. When he started his real estate business, he was a “lone wolf” in a market filled with successful agents and there was little to no technology to help with prospecting. “You can’t worry about how many people you are in competition with,” he said. “I had to suppress that fear that others were better or that everybody knew more than me. That is what separates the successful from the unsuccessful.”

“I am really appreciative of the PLACE model and how it is going to lift some of the load off of me. I can build the team without having to stress about some of the smaller, daily worries.”

Moving forward in what he called a “purposeful, naïve” way, Yarbrough was soon building his business from his network and their referrals. Yarbrough also worked at open houses and, to this day, hosts three out of every four Sundays in any given month. As his business grew, clients trusted him with higher priced properties. “Trust is the key and that trust has to be earned,” he said. “The affluent know they have the option to use anybody they want and I am fortunate to have a few clients who have been with me since the beginning.”

That drive to maintain a high level of engagement with clients is one of the primary reasons for Yarbrough’s partnership in PLACE. “As long as I am going to stay in production, I have to do so at my high standards,” he explained. “I am really appreciative of the PLACE model and how it is going to lift some of the load off of me. I can build the team without having to stress about some of the smaller, daily worries.”

Early in Yarbrough’s career, he was happy working on his own, sometimes with an assistant or overflow agent. Over time, necessity has pushed him to add people to his team and that growth occurred primarily through his mentorship. Ultimately, he envisions his business going on even after he steps out of production. “I love teamwork,” he explained. “I thrive in helping smart people develop their skills and awareness. Someday, maybe one of them will replace me.”

Yarbrough is impressed with the depth of PLACE. “I can’t replicate this on my own,” he explained. “The time, thought, money, and smart people involved in PLACE have already put something in motion that I can’t do on my own, nor do I want to do it on my own.” His team members are also excited about the opportunities that PLACE offers that aren’t typical of a real estate position.

“I am excited that Jeff has partnered with PLACE,” said Chris Suarez, co-founder of PLACE. “He loves his community and real estate. Coupled with his desire to help others grow within the business, I am sure that this partnership is going to go far.”

“Jeff is a very successful guy who understands that over the next few years as the market changes, there is opportunity for expansion,” said Ben Kinney, co-founder of PLACE. “I look forward to watching this guy who is already at the top of his game climb higher.”

“PLACE is simply the best model out there,” said Yarbrough. “If you are going to partner with anyone, there is no reason not to pick the best. I’m excited to watch all of my new partners at PLACE and our entire organization grow bigger over the next decade.”
