With market conditions, team growth, and agent productivity in mind, Voyles and Kavanagh look forward to increasing efficiency and profitability within Fulcrum Residential

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 2024 — PLACE, the industry’s only all-in-one business services and technology platform for top teams at any brokerage, announced today that Ty Voyles, Tom Kavanagh, and Fulcrum Residential are now powered by PLACE. PLACE improves profitability and production to make running a real estate business easier.

Award-winning top agents Ty Voyles and Tom Kavanagh are the owners and operators of Fulcrum Residential, serving Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Florida, and North Carolina. Voyles, who became a Realtor® in 2009, serves as CEO of the business, and Kavanagh, who joined the industry in 1999, is the Director of Growth. Over the last decade, Fulcrum Residential has helped more than 2,600 clients buy and sell real estate, closing more than $1.4 billion in sales volume.

Voyles and Kavanagh launched Fulcrum Residential with co-founder James Lisowski in 2012, believing that the highest-performing real estate businesses are about collective achievement and client service. “The definition of ‘fulcrum’ is a point of leverage,” said Voyles. “We knew that by working together, we could create leverage for real estate agents so they could achieve more with us than on their own, as well as deliver specialized services resulting in better client results.”

With leverage as a major business piece, Fulcrum Residential has grown to be a top-selling team in the Washington, D.C. market. Their dedication to developing the team’s success is one of the reasons they are partnering with PLACE.

“Watching PLACE bring different businesses together to create a bigger value proposition for clients is of interest to all of us at Fulcrum,” said Voyles. “Combining agent services, mortgage, title, homeownership, and improvement services into one environment at a high level brings more value and opportunity to everybody.”

With current market conditions, Voyles and Kavanagh believe partnering with PLACE will improve their business’s efficiency and agents’ productivity. “As the market gets tighter, it gets harder to remain as profitable as we believe we should be,” said Kavanagh. “When we realized that PLACE has unique insight into high performance and world-class service models, that was compelling to us. PLACE can provide us with advice and insight that is unmatched in the industry. Why wouldn’t you want to partner and have access to that?” Kavanagh added.

Voyles and Kavanagh aim to expand the company, offering more career and growth opportunities to agents while providing more client services. “Initially, we considered our business the only partnership we needed. Now, we realize there’s room for more. Our vision will become a reality faster and with less stress through our partnership with PLACE,” explained Voyles. “PLACE will accelerate the growth, deliver more value,” Kavanagh said. “I am excited about where we’re going.”

“When thinking about how we were going to grow, we realized that the choice that we were given was an ‘and’ not an ‘or.’ By adding new insights and leverage through our partnership with PLACE on top of the powerful networks we’re involved with, it’s going to multiply our growth,” Voyles says. “We found that when we started asking questions and seeking advice from others in the industry, the best advice we got was from those at PLACE, like co-founder Chris Suarez,” Kavanagh adds.

Excited to evolve with the business, Voyles looks forward to re-energizing with new leverage and connecting with more partners and leaders. “At this point, we see PLACE adding to our incredible team and systems,” he explained. “And that alignment is huge.”

With more resources to invest in their communities, Fulcrum agents intend to expand their community service, having built a foundation that impacts local organizations, charities, and schools. They’re also looking forward to the added freedom of becoming more selective about how they spend their time within their business and other parts of their lives.

“Tom and Ty are a community-oriented team that has achieved success by honing their best practices and implementing those systems into their business,” said Ben Kinney, co-founder of PLACE. “PLACE systems and technologies will accelerate their growth, and I’m excited to watch their progress.”

“I welcome Tom and Ty to PLACE and look forward to watching them achieve all the goals they set for themselves,” said Chris Suarez, co-founder of PLACE. “They have an excellent perspective on what it means to build a business. PLACE will expand their arsenal of technologies and systems, providing more opportunities for everyone at – and served by – Fulcrum.”
