IDAHO FALLS, Idaho, August 2023 — PLACE, the industry’s only all-in-one business services and technology platform for top real estate teams at any brokerage, announced today that Shawn Anderson, Mike Hicks, Kris Bertagnolli, and the Anderson Hicks Group are now powered by PLACE. Shawn Anderson, Mike Hicks, and Kris Bertagnolli, owners and operators at the Anderson Hicks Group and top Realtors® in Southeast Idaho, initially combined forces to focus to deliver the best client experience through systems, technology, and knowledge.

Hicks has been a Realtor® since 1988. After almost a decade in the corporate world he considered opening his own CPA office, but with a little prodding from his wife, decided to try real estate. Through phone calls, open houses, and a commitment to provide such great service to each client that they would refer him to someone else, Hicks built a tremendous business. Hicks remained a solo agent until 2014 when he partnered with a top agent and eventually formed his own team.

Shawn Anderson became a Realtor® in 2007 after working for a software company that developed documents for mortgage companies. Shawn began working with his uncle, Steve Anderson, bringing his business background to merge with his uncle’s sales and industry experience. A few years later, Anderson was exposed to a model for turning a real estate sales team into a business and he was hooked.

Kris Bertagnolli had a corporate background in sales. The mergers and acquisitions his company experienced left him looking for the next thing, and he found inspiration for a real estate career through his friend and agent, Shawn Anderson. He initially joined Mike Hicks’ team, but saw the synergies that were possible between both teams that were ranked no. 1 and no. 2 in their market. Within six months, the teams merged to form the Anderson Hicks Group in 2018. “We had complementary skills,” said Hicks. “We joined our marketing and technology to build a team that helped all of us succeed at a higher level.”

Now, they are partnering with PLACE to continue their goal of remaining top of the market. “The standardization of systems and technologies as well as the ability for us to stay in front of things makes PLACE a great partner for our team,” said Hicks. “As we look down the road, PLACE allows us to expand our business and evolve with our team members in a genuine partnership, where we’re each interested in growing each other’s businesses.”
