MANHATTAN, N.Y., March 2023 — PLACE, the industry’s only all-in-one business services and technology platform for top teams at any brokerage, announced today that Russell Putterman, Matthew Lenner, and FOCUS Real Estate are now powered by PLACE. Putterman is an elite real estate professional serving luxury markets in and around the New York City area, while Lenner focuses exclusively on the Long Island market. Putterman’s foray into residential real estate occurred when he partnered with an Israeli company purchasing apartment complexes in Manhattan. Lenner held a sales role in a different industry until 2005 when the duo — who lived in the same building at the time — decided to go into business together.
During the Great Recession, Putterman and Lenner’s business evolved by “bobbing and weaving” before they began doubling down on residential real estate and eventually launched FOCUS Real Estate in 2010.
In 2011, Lenner honed in on Long Island as the team’s first expansion location. Together, they have completed over $500 million in transactions covering sales of homes, apartments, buildings, land, office, and retail leases. In addition, they continue to focus on real estate investment holdings, largely in the multifamily vertical.
