Announcing a new partnership: Kimberlee Meserve and The Street Property Team are powered by PLACE.
New PLACE partners Jen Peters and PJ McLoughlin are focused on helping more clients achieve the dream of homeownership. With PLACE, the Platinum Group has big goals to reach families across central Florida.

MELBOURNE, Fla.; September 2022 — PLACE, the industry’s only all-inclusive platform delivering intuitive technology and business services to top real estate professionals, announced today that Jen Peters, PJ McLoughlin, and the Platinum Group are now powered by PLACE. PLACE improves profitability and production for the top 20% of real estate teams, and currently supports over 150 real estate businesses across the United States and Canada.

Together as partners, Peters and McLoughlin have built an elite team of real estate professionals serving the Brevard and Indian River counties on Florida’s Space Coast. Both share the understanding that running a successful business takes hard work, commitment, and communication. In 2021, the Platinum Group closed more than $70 million in sales volume, helping 172 families buy and sell real estate.

“At the end of the day, why wouldn’t we plug into PLACE, a platform that is already working for many successful agents running massive businesses?”

Jen Peters and PJ McLoughlin were both real estate professionals long before their paths crossed in Florida. Team Lead Peters got her real estate license in Washington D.C. while on maternity leave with her first child. She had worked as a teacher and counselor for 13 years but had always been interested in the industry, ultimately becoming a successful agent in the DC metro area. When her husband was transferred to Florida in 2016, she planned to take some time to get settled and be a mom.

McLoughlin, a U.S. Army veteran, worked in commercial real estate in Silicon Valley prior to moving to Florida in 2014 when his wife’s job required relocation. Ready for a career change, he transitioned from commercial to residential real estate.

The two initially met in 2016 when Peters’ family was on the hunt for a rental in the Sunshine State and McLoughlin was helping them find a home. They began discussing Peters’ background in real estate and experience building a team, which led to her consulting for McLoughlin.

Ultimately, Peters got her Florida license and the two worked together informally. Over the next few years, the path toward building a successful and productive team was not without its challenges. “We have definitely learned to embrace the fail forward mentality, which is where some of our biggest growth opportunities have come from,” said McLoughlin.

“The recruiting, launch, onboarding, backend systems and organization of PLACE are exceptional, and coupled with forecasts of consolidation and other market changes, it seems foolish to spend energy trying to recreate something that already works well for others.”

The decision to partner with PLACE today makes sense. “We built our team to this point, learning key lessons along the way, and partnering with PLACE demonstrates that our team is maturing,” said Peters. “At the end of the day, why wouldn’t we plug into PLACE, a platform that is already working for many successful agents running massive businesses? It is okay to lean into proven systems to make helping our agents and our clients easier.”

For Peters and McLoughlin, partnering with PLACE is also about helping more families build wealth through real estate. “We are doing this so we can serve more families through our agents,” explained McLoughlin. Echoing that sentiment, Peters reiterated that every client that comes through their doors is a priority, not just a transaction. “We want to help them find the perfect home, but we also want to act as long-term key consultants who help all of our clients access the next homeownership resource they need,” said Peters.

Partnering with PLACE allows a pathway for this duo to achieve their goals faster and more effectively. “It is difficult to pinpoint just one thing that partnering with PLACE brings to us,” said McLoughlin. “The recruiting, launch, onboarding, backend systems and organization of PLACE are exceptional, and coupled with forecasts of consolidation and other market changes, it seems foolish to spend energy trying to recreate something that already works well for others.”

“Jen and PJ know who they are, where they are going, and how to get there,” said Ben Kinney, co-founder of PLACE. “They have built their team by capitalizing on their strengths and this partnership with PLACE is going to help them achieve future goals faster. I welcome them to PLACE.”

“I am excited that Jen and PJ are new PLACE partners,” said Chris Suarez, co-founder of PLACE. “They have built a successful business focused on serving the families in their community with the utmost care, all while prioritizing their team’s financial health and well-being. Those ideals are in perfect alignment with PLACE and I look forward to witnessing their ongoing growth first hand.”

“Building and maintaining relationships is who we are,” said Peters. “At our core, we believe homeownership is the first step to wealth building. That mission aligns perfectly with PLACE’s priority of helping make buying and selling real estate more accessible to the masses. We look forward to growing with Ben and Chris.”
