Dowd didn’t immediately pursue a career in real estate after college. Initially, he worked short stints as a headhunter and later, a restaurant owner. It wasn’t until he earned his real estate license in 1999 that he found his footing and his career took off. Since moving to Newport, R.I. in 2006, Dowd has consistently been ranked as a top agent in his region and one of the Top 100 Real Estate Agents in the country.

Dowd aims to more than triple the number of transactions his team handles annually. “Over the past five years, we have consistently completed 60 to 90 deals,” said Dowd. “My goal is 250, and then 500, and we need PLACE to help us find the right agents and give successful agents a big enough platform that they don’t have to leave.”
