Nicole Canole and East + Ivy Homes thrive through partnership with PLACE

Washington, D.C.; February 2022 — PLACE, the industry’s only all-inclusive platform delivering intuitive technology and business services to top real estate professionals, announced today that Nicole Canole and East + Ivy Homes is now powered by PLACE.
Nicole Canole, founder and CEO of East + Ivy, came to real estate through a unique path. With degrees in Criminal Justice, Information Management, and Business Administration, real estate wasn’t exactly her background, but it quickly became her passion. “I honestly thought I would be a criminal profiler,” said Canole with a laugh. “After I got out of the military, I worked for the federal government for several years and it just wasn’t for me.”
Canole knew that it was time for a change. “Life is too short and too beautiful to not be doing something you love,” said Canole. In her spare time, she worked as an interior designer, stager, and refinished antique furniture. Encouraged by the agents she worked with through her side businesses, she made the change. “I earned my real estate license, started the company, and here we are,” Canole said.
“Life is too short and too beautiful to not be doing something you love.”
Developing her boutique realty brand has not come without its challenges but the efforts have paid off for the East + Ivy team. “We spoil our clients from the beginning,” explained Canole. “Everything we do is carefully-curated from the photos we take to how we present ourselves in public.” Even the name of her boutique real estate business, East + Ivy, was planned and thought out: “East” for the direction the sun rises, symbolizing a source of light and inspiration for clients; “Ivy” because it is not just a vine admired for its beauty but symbolic for its ability to attach to something and not let go and its tenacity to adapt and grow under diverse conditions.
“I thrive in partnerships. At the end of the day, I just want to do cool stuff with my friends and be proud of what we built.”

She is also excited for the stability and training that partnering with PLACE will bring her agents and her clients. “Putting together training platforms has been a challenge,” Canole explained. “I believe LAUNCH will provide value to both new and experienced agents.”
Canole takes pride in her team for its members’ authenticity. “I look for connections and built a business of friends helping each other be the best we can be,” she explained. “We want to be the best versions of ourselves for our clients but also for each other, for our community, and ourselves.”

Canole and East + Ivy Homes practice a brand of client service that is completely unique in their market. As an example, a snowstorm threatened to impede a client and their family from moving into their recently purchased home. Canole couldn’t find someone on short notice, so she personally shoveled their long, rural driveway at 5 a.m. The client was astounded. “The client will always come first. You have to love people more than you love yourself,” explained Canole.
“Nicole’s dedication to her team and her clients really can’t be overstated and we are honored to partner with her,” said PLACE Co-Founder Chris Suarez. “She and her team are thriving and the PLACE network is ready to help them grow even further.”
“I am excited to partner with Nicole and the entire East & Ivy team because they bring flair, lots of flair,” added PLACE Co-Founder Ben Kinney. “Plus, they have an eye for design, a no BS approach to business, and just enough sass to keep it exciting!”
