Durbin and Fairley have known each other since they played football together in college. In 2006, they teamed up again in Florida to launch a mortgage business. Due to the economic conditions that followed shortly thereafter, Fairley left the mortgage business to work in tech sales, and in 2010, Durbin began selling residential real estate.
In 2013, Durbin returned to his roots in the Pittsburgh area. “It had been a tough seven years,” he remembered. “I wanted to move somewhere less chaotic where the market swings weren’t so great. I believed it would be easier to build a business in a market that was more consistent.”
In 2016, after Fairley quit his successful job and began traveling around the world, Durbin convinced him to join his business. Since 2017, the team has closed more than $230 million in volume, helping more than 1,000 people achieve the dream of homeownership. During 2022, the duo closed roughly $58 million in sales volume through 217 transactions.
The two are proud of the team culture and family-like atmosphere they have created. “Matt and I are always available for the people on our team, seven days a week, no matter what time it is,” said Fairley. “We lead by example and truly want to help them reach the next level of success.”
