The Live Love Memphis Group partners with PLACE for agent resources

Announcing a new partnership: Kimberlee Meserve and The Street Property Team are powered by PLACE.

“Our team’s core values and beliefs are aligned with those of PLACE. I look forward to all that PLACE has to offer so we can serve our clients at an even higher level.”

Team leader and independent broker Jen Carstensen will leverage PLACE to serve clients at a “high level.”

MEMPHIS, Tenn., November 2023 — PLACE, the industry’s only all-in-one real estate services and technology platform for top teams at any brokerage, announced today that Jen Carstensen and The Live Love Memphis Group at The Real Estate Agency, LLC are now powered by PLACE. PLACE improves profitability and production to make running a real estate business easier.

Carstensen is an elite Realtor® serving the greater Memphis area including all cities within Shelby, Fayette, and Tipton counties, plus DeSoto county in Mississippi. Since 2008, she has helped over 2,000 people buy and sell real estate, and in 2022, The Live Love Memphis Group closed $52 million in sales volume through 192 transactions.

Entering the real estate business in 2008, Carstensen thought it was a pivot from the mortgage industry, where she had spent over a decade. “It was extremely difficult to build a new business without knowing anyone, with a toddler, and in the worst real estate market the community had experienced. So, I just took her with me wherever I went!” she admits.

Carstensen relied on social media, growing her online presence using Facebook to connect with Memphians to be top of mind when they were looking to buy, sell, or invest locally. Nationally, she created a Facebook real estate referral group that is still running strong with over 11,000 members.

She also leaned into what she was familiar with – the mortgage process. Following her real estate broker’s advice, she became certified in short sales. “I cut my teeth on expireds and short sales,” she said. “I was also very visible on social media because it was free — my business grew the first few years in spite of my blind naivete about how ‘bad’ the market was around me.”

After working under two large brokerages for 13 years, Carstensen launched her own independent brokerage in 2021. While she’s the owner of her brokerage, she also owns and runs a team within The Real Estate Agency called The Live Love Memphis Group. “I am risk averse, and throughout my career have tried not to reinvent the wheel,” she explained. “I have been really cautious about growth, setting realistic, tangible goals along the way, and then when one goal is achieved, moving the needle slightly up. When we went independent, we operated the exact same way with small, steady, and intentional growth.”

Carstensen had been considering partnership for her team for some time, but ultimately her conversations with other PLACE Partners inspired her to move forward. “I knew I had to be part of this vibrant community,” Carstensen said. “I missed the energy, elevated thinking, and support from a group of top producers. At PLACE, I am surrounded by big thinkers who operate in a collaborative environment without egos.”

Now, Carstensen believes PLACE tools will help her to scale her business while still living a well-rounded life. “Every time I’m around the PLACE community, I listen more than I speak and take a lot of notes. The wheel isn’t reinvented here, it’s reexamined,” she said. “There’s no organization I’d rather align my team with than this one.”

Her team members also look forward to growing with the help of PLACE resources. “Our systems are pretty tight, but there is always room for improvement,” Carstensen said. “Our team’s core values and beliefs are aligned with those of PLACE. I look forward to all that PLACE has to offer so we can serve our clients at an even higher level.”

“Jen has built a tremendous business, bringing together like-minded people to serve their community,” said Ben Kinney, co-founder of PLACE. “Partnering with PLACE will give her more expansion tools so she and her team can achieve all their goals.”

“I am happy Jen has identified partnering with PLACE as the next step in growing her business,” said Chris Suarez, co-founder of PLACE. “Her desire to do what is best for her team, family, and clients is unwavering, and I look forward to watching her grow.”
