Jesse Garcia has experience leading a high producing team, running real estate offices, recruiting talent, and building and scaling tech companies. With that history, he believes launching a team as the market shifts makes good business sense and will provide infinite value for his family, team members, and community.

Garcia first became interested in real estate investing while working in law enforcement. He took a few courses at his local community college to learn the business, but had no intention of becoming a Realtor®. After one of his professors encouraged him to take the real estate exam, he quickly found what he initially thought would be a part-time real estate position. Like many others in the business, he soon discovered that it is impossible to dedicate energy to two full time jobs, so he jumped into real estate full time in 2008.

The market was tough. Garcia, who says he loves talking to people, tied into all his networks and was soon making a living – even in a down economy. “I started real estate in a short sale market,” said Garcia. “One of my mentors told me if I could make it in that market, I could succeed in any market.”

Over the years, Garcia was on a team, led a team, led a brokerage, and launched a tech company, Zipi, a cloud-based financial operating system designed to increase production and profits for real estate brokers and agents. While Garcia enjoyed his technology business, he missed the process of negotiation and helping clients achieve the dream of homeownership.

“I believe that PLACE provides the foundational component for me to put together a team that will then be the avenue for other wealth-building opportunities.”

Once he became a growth leader for PLACE and was helping other real estate professionals understand how this partnership could benefit their businesses, Garcia knew he wanted to be part of the value proposition that PLACE offers. “My goal is to find agents that have been licensed less than 10 years, who have never been through a market shift and don’t know what to expect,” Garcia explained. “Through change, structure, training, health benefits, and a network of high-achieving partners, I believe that PLACE provides the foundational component for me to put together a team that will then be the avenue for other wealth-building opportunities.”

Garcia is extremely optimistic about this opportunity for expansion and the value it will add to agents that join his team. “If I had PLACE 10 years ago, I would be retired on an island somewhere by now,” laughed Garcia. “I am in a time in my career where I want to spend more time with my family, and I want to learn how to build generational wealth from people who have done it within ethical and intentional guidelines that align with my values. PLACE offers all that I am looking for and its values are true to who I am.”
