“We need more structure and systems, and plugging into the PLACE model will give us room to breathe.”
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., January 2023 —PLACE, the industry’s only all-in-one business services and technology platform for top teams at any brokerage, announced today that Kiki and Kristina Salcido and K2 Simply Real Estate are now powered by PLACE. PLACE improves profitability and production to make running a real estate business easier.
Kiki and Kristina Salcido are elite New Mexico Realtors® serving the Albuquerque and Santa Fe markets. Prior to their careers in real estate, Kiki was a writer and actor in Los Angeles where Kristina owned a production company. They met in Hollywood while auditioning for “General Hospital” and later moved to Albuquerque where they earned their real estate licenses in 2017.
Kiki and Kristina opened K2 in 2017 and, after six months of business, Kristina earned the title “Rookie of the Year” from the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors (GAAR). In mid-2019, they opened their brokerage, Simply Real Estate, home to over 100 agents. In 2022, K2 closed roughly $55 million in volume, helping 172 families buy and sell real estate.
“We have two little kids, a lot of business ventures, and agents to keep up with,” Kristina said. “What we really need is a playbook. We are building a team of agents who want to be part of something bigger.”
The couple also partnered with PLACE to provide next-level opportunities. “The conditional benefits and growth for our agents are in line with what we envisioned,” Kiki said. “The ability for them to build a team within our team as they grow is important to us. And, we’re excited for the technology backdrop of PLACE that takes the guesswork out of growing towards a national reach.”
They found that PLACE more than meets their needs for a playbook, recruitment leverage, and models. “PLACE has already created and tested systems and processes that we need,” said Kristina. “We’ve grown organically, but that has also been overwhelming. We need more structure and systems, and plugging into the PLACE model will give us room to breathe.”

“Kristina and Kiki invest themselves in their family, business, people, and their community,” said Chris Suarez, co-founder of PLACE. “Their priorities are aligned with the values of PLACE, and I look forward to being part of their world.”
